Three Years of Impact: Fighting Ocean Pollution Through Action & Education

-Celebrating Three Years of Conservation: Join Us in Protecting Our Oceans and Inspiring Change

FREMONT, CA -- As we step into 2025, the Year of the Snake, a year of transformation and new beginnings, AquaMeridian is thrilled to kick off another impactful year with our spring beach cleanups!

For the past two years, we’ve worked alongside DOER Marine, Mission Blue, CASA, and Shine4Love Teens Club, bringing together hundreds of students from Fremont, Milpitas, Santa Clara, San Jose, Dublin, and Alameda. Together, we’ve not only removed 150–300 pounds of trash from our beaches at each event but also contributed valuable debris data to the global research network, helping scientists track and combat ocean pollution.

Expanding Our Mission: Education and Conservation

Beyond cleanups, we've partnered with the Monterey Bay Giant Kelp Restoration Project and the Fremont Public Library to raise awareness about critical ocean issues facing California, particularly the loss of giant kelp due to overpopulation of purple sea urchins. Through our educational event, Giant Kelp S.O.S., we’ve inspired children to recognize marine species, observe live urchins in motion, and deepen their understanding of marine conservation challenges.

We’ve also embraced cultural engagement by hosting the Lunar New Year Jar Painting Extravaganza Fundraiser in collaboration with a major corporate sponsor. Employees and community members came together to create dragon-themed artwork, celebrating Asian traditions while raising funds for marine conservation efforts.

Get Involved: Make a Difference Today

We’re committed to protect our oceans, one cleanup at a time. Register today and be part of the change! Volunteer Registration for our month of April cleanup is now open!
