America Recycles Day Cleanup
AquaMeridian marked America Recycles Day with a special shoreline cleanup on November 8th. With November being a month of appreciation, we want to extend our heartfelt thanks to all the volunteers who showed up with such commitment and care.
Post-Cleanup Reflection
As we lifted rocks and cleaned along the shoreline, we noticed a huge amount of tiny plastic fragments, microplastics, and other debris hidden beneath the rocks. These pieces are some of the most harmful to marine life — and also the hardest to find. But our sharp-eyed volunteers didn’t miss them. They took the time to pick up even the smallest particles, the ones that truly matter.
From microplastics to food wrappers, foam pieces, fishing debris, and larger trash, everything was collected, sorted, and many items logged into the Clean Swell app. It was teamwork, learning, and ocean stewardship all in one afternoon.
Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped protect our coast in such a thoughtful and intentional way. Our ocean is cleaner today because of you.
