AquaMeridian's Beach Cleanup and Educational DOER Marine Tour!

Hi everyone,

I'm so excited to share a recap of our recent beach cleanup event, which exceeded all expectations and demonstrated the incredible impact we can make when we work together.

Our beach cleanup occurred Saturday August 12th at Alameda's Waterfront Park, with a fantastic turnout of over 60 volunteers. Your dedication and enthusiasm are incredible; I still can't believe we found eight tires!

The recorded trash collection via the Clean Swell app reached an impressive 320.75 pounds, a whole 150 pounds coming from the tires. It's important to note, though, that the recorded data likely underestimates our true impact. Some volunteers didn't log their findings, suggesting the trash collected could be closer to 500 pounds! This is twice as much as our last cleanup, so incredible job everyone :)

A special thank you goes to Liz Taylor at DOER Marine for her exceptional contribution to the event. Her informative and inspiring tour educated us extensively about the marine environment and the available technology to protect it, and Liz's dedication to preserving our oceans and marine life deeply resonated with all of us. For those of you who missed out, there will be even more opportunities to visit DOER Marine, so keep your eyes open for upcoming activities!

Thank you to every volunteer who lent their time and energy to this cleanup. We're incredibly proud to count each of you as a member of the AquaMeridian US team.

Warm regards,

-Faye Lin
