Nurturing Youth Leadership Through Ocean Conservation
Date: Monday Feb 20, 2023
Time: 7:30-8:30pm PST
Host: Faye Lin, Founder of AquaMeridian US
Guest speaker: Liz Taylor, Advisory Board member for AquaMeridian US, President of DOER Marine
AquaMeridian's first virtual panel: A path to demonstrate leadership, dedication and a way to give back to the planet for high school students.
This is a truly special occasion as we have the honor of inviting our esteemed guest speaker, Liz Taylor, who is not only our board advisor but also the president of DOER Marine Operations, daughter of Dr. Slyvia Earle, founder of Mission Blue.
Through this exposure to ocean conservation, students will have the opportunity to discover their own interests and passions. The challenges they hear about and may face themselves can serve as tools to shape and mold their character, helping them to develop resilience, determination, and the ability to overcome obstacles. The event will provide a unique and transformative experience for the students, inspiring them to take action, not just in the realm of ocean conservation but in all areas of their lives.
Also, don't miss this chance to be a part of AquaMeridian US’s launch and forge a relationship with the oceans. Parents and peers are welcome to join us!
I met Liz when I was just ten years old in DOER Marine. From that moment on, Liz became not just a mentor but also a source of inspiration for my scientific research, I am forever grateful for her influence in my life. - Faye Lin
