Mermaid Special Beach Cleanup — Feb 14, 2026
This Valentine’s Day, AquaMeridian invites our community to a one-of-a-kind coastal conservation experience — where magic, education, and environmental action come together.
On Saturday, February 14, 2026, we’re co-hosting a Mermaid Special Beach Cleanup with DOER Marine, and CASA (Citizens Alliance for a Sustainable Alameda) at Seaplane Lagoon Promenade, followed by a Mermaid Photo Booth and a free Mission Blue documentary screening at DOER Marine. This special event is designed to inspire students and families to fall in love with the ocean — and then learn how to protect it.
Meet The Mermaid Atlantis
We’re thrilled to welcome The Mermaid Atlantis, as our special guest. At the cleanup site, she will share her freediving journey, her personal connection to the sea, and her passion for ocean conservation.

Mission Blue Documentary
This powerful documentary follows legendary oceanographer Dr. Sylvia Earle's campaign to create a global network of marine protected areas. Through stunning underwater cinematography, you'll witness the beauty and fragility of our ocean ecosystems.
The film inspires viewers to understand their connection to the ocean and motivates them to become ocean advocates. It's the perfect complement to our hands-on beach cleanup activities.
Special Thanks
• The Mermaid Atlantis for sharing ocean storytelling and magic
• DOER Marine for hosting the Mission Blue documentary screening
• Mr. Udar for sponsoring pizza for our volunteers and families
